Weaver, Bennett & Bland, P.A. Expands Civil Litigation Group

Weaver, Bennett & Bland, P.A. recently expanded our civil litigation practice with two new individual and business litigation attorneys. Matthew M. Villmer and LaRita L. Dingle joined our full-service law firm to provide expert counsel. We are thrilled to have them on our team. They both bring a fresh perspective to our successful litigation practice.

Matt has an impressive background as a broad-based advisor and litigator across multiple industries with clients ranging from small businesses to national corporations. He assists business owners in a wide range of areas, including contract disputes, collection matters, landlord tenant law, new business start-up, and contract drafting, among others. In 2010, Matt was one of the first attorneys to bring suit against BP for the damage caused to Gulf Coast businesses, including hospitals, shopping malls, bars, and restaurants. Most recently, Matt spearheaded a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a national energy efficiency company for fraud, unfair business practices, and other business torts. He is also a nationally recognized speaker in numerous areas, including contract drafting and litigation tactics.

LaRita earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. Prior to joining Weaver, Bennett & Bland, she gained experience in several areas of law working with the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Olive Law Group PLLC, The Elder Law Clinic at Wake Forest School of Law, and Church World Service. LaRita focuses on the Civil Litigation, Business Law, and Personal Injury practice areas.
