Rebecca K. Watts was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1998. She was became a Board Certified Family Law Specialist in 2005 and a DRC Certified Family Financial Mediator in 2008. She began her practice of law in the Chapel Hill/ Durham area where she practiced until she moved to Charlotte in the fall of 2006. She joined the firm of Weaver, Bennett & Bland in 2009 after having practiced with a Charlotte firm for 2 years. In addition to her domestic litigation practice, she does family law appeals, serves as a parenting coordinator, and mediates family law cases. She has a special interest in Domestic Violence law and has lectured on the issue to members of the Mecklenburg County Bar. She is an active member of the Family Law Section of the Mecklenburg County Bar and of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. She earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law (J.D. 1998) and her undergraduate degree from Florida State University (B.S. 1992).
