James Epperson made Partner in Firm

Weaver, Bennett & Bland, P.A. is pleased to announce that James L. Epperson has been named as a partner with the firm. Mr. Epperson has practiced for 15 years in diverse areas of the law. Mr. Epperson began his legal career in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps where he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for negotiating the release of Naval and Marine Corps personnel from Middle Eastern governments and the Navy Achievement Medal for defending clients before courts-martial and administrative hearings. Mr. Epperson served as a prosecutor on the Naval Academy's Cheating Scandal in 1993. From 1994 until 2004, Mr. Epperson practiced before Federal and State Courts in Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and South Carolina in cases involving asbestos, family law, and personal injury cases. He has obtained settlements and jury verdicts which have totaled in excess of 5 million dollars. Mr. Epperson is a graduate of Appalachian State University and Mercer Law School in Macon Georgia. He is married to Lauren Pinckney of Savannah, Georgia and has two children Charlton and Telfair who attend Providence Day School.
